Profit Players,
Another week coming to an end and we are Back to Basics—where your financials actually mean something.
Today, we’re diving into Revenue.

Revenue. Sales. Income. Whatever you call it, it all comes down to one question: How much did you bring in from selling activities?
True story: Last week, I was on a call with a brewery, and I asked, “What was your 2024 revenue? How much did you sell last year?”
Their first answer? $90,000.
I paused. Scratched my beard. And said, “You only sold $7,500 a month? We have clients who make that in four hours.”
Turns out, that wasn’t their revenue—it was their profit on a $1M taproom. Now that tracks. But here’s the takeaway:
Whether it’s for the year, half-year, or month, this is a critical metric for running a brewery successfully.
To help, I’ve attached a spreadsheet that breaks down revenue tracking. In it, you’ll find:
The ability to categorize your sales (taproom, wholesale, contract brewing)
Space to set revenue targets
A breakdown of monthly, weekly, and even daily sales goals
The numbers don’t lie. If you’re not tracking them, you’re flying blind.
Watch the attached video for a quick walkthrough on how to use the spreadsheet, then download it, plug in your numbers, and start planning your path to profit.
