Meet Phil

For Phil, numbers have always been his first passion. Before SBS, he spent the majority of my career in accounting and finance for advertising agencies, and loved the process, the technology, and the people.

Then in 2018, when he co-founded Trinity Forest Brewing Company in Dallas, Texas he had the opportunity to explore and develop his other passions: small business and craft beer.

He had always assumed those two aspects of his life would live separately. That was until he discovered Small Batch.

Equal parts accounting pro, team leader, and craft brewery founder, Phil is a unicorn combination of talents that fits like a glove with the ethos, mission, and culture here at SBS. In short, Phil has supercharged our team.

What do you consider your professional superpowers to be?

I have a knack for identifying and finding solutions for complex issues. I approach each issue that our clients face as a unique puzzle.

What’s the best part about working at SBS?

The ecosystem within which we operate. From our clients to our employees, everyone is resilient, motivated, and driven to succeed.

What do you like most about the craft industry?

The passion. The people in the craft industry are top-notch professionals and the passion with which they create and hone their craft is nothing short of inspiring.

What are some of your other interests?

Outside of the debits, credits, and beer, I enjoy spending time with my wife, two dogs, and my new Lincoln, NE home after moving from Texas in mid-2020. I’m also an avid runner and biker, and try to fit in a few homebrew sessions every month or so.

Lone Pint Yellow Rose (Magnolia, TX), Kros Strain Fairy Nectar IPA (La Vista, NE), Austin Beerworks Pearl-Snap (Austin, TX)
