Meet Karina
Karina brings years of experience in the wine and craft beer world, keeping producers on the right side of the rules while helping their operations run smoothly. She got her start in her hometown of Napa, CA, spending a decade at two wineries managing bookkeeping, administration, and compliance, gaining firsthand insight into the work that goes into every bottle.
After relocating to Portland, OR she joined a fast-growing craft brewery, beginning in bookkeeping before moving into full-scale compliance management. She oversaw permits, multi-state reporting, and excise and sales tax filings, and successfully led audits with the TTB, ABC, and other multi-state regulators.
Currently completing her Finance degree at Portland State University, Karina combines industry knowledge with a passion for efficiency and organization in regulated environments.

What do you consider your professional superpowers to be?
Creative problem-solving paired with resourcefulness.
What do you like most about the craft industry?
There’s something real and authentic about the craft industry. What drew me in was the creativity, innovation, dedication and collaborative community.
What are some of your other interests?
Reading, discovering new music and films, my pug, chasing after my toddler nephews and exploring Portland’s culinary and craft beverage culture.
